You ever stop and ask yourself, “What am I running for?”
I did, just this past week. And let me tell you, the answer wasn’t what I wanted to hear.

For years, I’ve been chasing something. Proving myself. Trying to show the world that I’m somebody. That I’m worthy. That all the people who doubted me, overlooked me, or made me feel small were wrong. And for a while, that fire kept me going. It got me up early, kept me up late, and pushed me to achieve things most people only dream of.

By the time I hit 31, I’d done it.
✔️ A mortgage-free house.
✔️ Two cars on the drive.
✔️ A loving wife.
✔️ Beautiful kids.
✔️ Living In My Dream Country

Sounds like the dream, right? But here’s the thing: that feeling I thought was coming—the one where you finally sit back and say, “I’ve made it”?—it never arrived.

Turns out, that applause I thought was coming? It never showed up. No one’s handing out pats on the back when you cross some invisible finish line.

The Wake-Up Call

That’s when it hit me: I’d been living my life for everyone else. Trying to prove a point to people who weren’t even paying attention.

Years ago, my why was simple: I want to be somebody. Sounds noble, right? But the truth is, that kind of why comes from a place of pain. From a kid who just wanted to fit in. To be appreciated. To finally hear, “You’ve done good, mate.”

Now I see it for what it is—a heavy chain I’ve been dragging around, trying to get free of something that was never mine to carry in the first place.

A New Why

So here I am. I’ve got to find a new why. A new reason to push forward. Not for recognition. Not for validation.

But for the kind of freedom that comes from truly letting go.

What About You?

Here’s the question I’m asking myself, and now I’m asking you:

👉 What are you running for?

And more importantly: Is it worth it?

Maybe it’s time to stop running. Maybe it’s time to start living.

Let’s Live in Freedom

It’s not about applause or validation—it’s about living life on your own terms. So let’s ask the hard questions, make the brave choices, and create a life that feels right, not one that just looks right.

What do you think? Are you ready to stop running and start living? Hit reply—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
